CDX Holds Writing Competition Celebration Online for the Top 25 Contestants

Cambodian Derivatives Exchange (CDX) takes pride in successfully organizing a writing competition platform embracing our stance of promoting education in Cambodia through building the young generation’s inspiration and practical experience and widening job opportunities for economic growth in general.

Following the top-5 winner announcement, on May 07, 2021, CDX held online the official competition celebration for all the top 25 contestants, giving us the opportunity to say congratulations and express our sincere appreciation for their participation with hard work and dedication.

Besides the top 25, from the CDX side, present at the event was CDX’s Director Mr. Lawrence Kook, sharing his valuable admiration and inspiration. They also represented the whole CDX management team civilizing the culture of sharing and making contributions.

CDX’s writing competition lasted from April 01 to April 16, 2021, with the main purposes of creating a platform for university students to showcase their talent in writing and critical thinking as well as to get practical experience and exciting job opportunities, which are well in line with CDX’s mission to contribute to Cambodia’s human resource development through continuous educational promotion and Cambodia’s economic growth through job creation.

“It is a great honor in preparing and offering this opportunity for all gifted university students in Cambodia. We took pride in the whole process of this competition because as we set up a good platform, the students challenged themselves up to a higher level, gain good experience, enhance recognition and portfolios, and explore job possibilities with our company. We are delighted to see a better human resource development in this country, and most importantly we were the catalyst in this program during the pandemic,” said Mr. Lawrence Kook.

During the celebration event, CDX was pleased to present all the five winners and the other top 20 contestants a Certificate of Appreciation and a Certificate of Participation respectively, which would boost their personal backgrounds and portfolios from that moment onwards.

“This competition well serves our core values and is an addition to our previous educational promotion campaigns including internships, Student Talk, Student Tour, seminars, and roadshows. In the future, we will remain committed to creating such activities for the betterment of our young generation and Cambodia at large,” added Mr. Lawrence Kook.

Also, in the event, Ms. Tang Kimnay, Ms. Chandara Sophany, and Mr. Suon Sokchea represented their top contestant counterparts and thanked CDX for creating this competition so that they could accumulate experience in the real world and measure their abilities with that of their peers. They were as well excited to find out more about job prospects at CDX and hoped the company would continue to carry on such activity for the growth of Cambodian students.

CDX highly appreciates the efforts of all contestants and related individuals who helped make this competition happen with such fruitful results. The decent creativity, quality of contents and critical thinking, and language proficiency presented in each article of our contestants really impressed CDX to admit that our young generation is surely a good resource for the future and will play a significant role in the development of Cambodia as well as in making the world a better place.
